S tier

8 arenas

Instantly recognisable, built around an idea no other arena reuses, and still readable when the board is full.

A tier

26 arenas

Strong themes with animated or reactive elements. Most Mythic arenas land here; they look expensive because they were.

B tier

42 arenas

Good-looking boards that share their identity with the rest of their set, or that lean on a single effect.

C tier

61 arenas

Static backdrops, recolours, and the older arenas that predate the current production standard. Nothing wrong with them; nothing memorable either.

How this list is built

Cosmetics don't affect gameplay, so there is no win rate to rank them by. What there is: production budget, which TFT's own rarity tracks closely. Arenas are the one cosmetic every player at the table looks at for the whole game. Mythic arenas ship animated elements, bespoke music and effects that react to the match; Standard ones are static backdrops and recolours. That sets the starting tier.

On top of that sits a short, explicit list of promotions for the ones that do something no rival does. That part is an opinion — it is kept deliberately small and lives in one file, so it can be argued with rather than hidden behind 137 hand-assigned grades.

Two things this list does not weigh: price, because what something cost at release says nothing about how it looks now, and availability, because a arena you can't buy isn't a better arena.
